Box removed: Route 36, Tehama county, CA

It was a sad day today. While buzzng down the highway between
customers, I did a quick detour to check on the Route 36 Letterbox.
Imagine my horror when I discovered that vandals had absolutely,
totally destroyed the raison d'etre for this box. There used to be a
huge old oak tree FILLED with hanging shoes known locally as The Tree
of Lost Soles. Some very evil pinhead(s) attacked it with a chainsaw
and it is no more! Two lucky letterboxing couples had signed in since
the box was placed. As of today, I've retired the book and stamp. So,
webmasters, please remove the clue from the website. RIP...Funhog
